The Lindenwood lacrosse team is gearing up to face Liberty in a road game this Thursday at 11:00 a.m. in Lynchburg, Virginia. The Lions, with a record of 9-2 and 2-1 in the ASUN, are looking to bounce back after their recent 16-11 loss to Jacksonville.

In that game, Alissa DiGiacinto stood out, scoring two goals and two assists, crossing an important career milestone with over 100 points. Ryleigh Cavanaugh also had a notable performance, grabbing 10 draw controls and surpassing 600 career draw controls. Meanwhile, Elizabeth Goth recorded her 100th career save, marking a significant achievement for the team. Along with Cavanaugh, Reese Krieger also contributed two goals, while Olivia Godbout made her mark defensively with two turnovers and some key ground balls.
A win against Liberty would push Lindenwood’s record to 10-2. They have been strong on the road, holding a 7-1 record this season. Additionally, a victory would mark their first win against Liberty in history, making it even more significant.
As for Liberty, they enter the matchup with an 8-5 record and a perfect 3-0 in the ASUN. However, they’ve recently experienced two losses against Louisville and South Florida. The Flames have a solid offense, highlighted by Tavia Reinertson, who leads the team with 50 points from 39 goals and 11 assists. Other key players include Ava Rajala with 19 assists and Rachel Hines, who has been an anchor in goal, recording 148 saves this season.
Looking ahead, after facing Liberty, the Lions will return home to take on Vanderbilt on April 16 at noon. This will be another opportunity for them to showcase their talent and continue their quest for a successful season.
