Join Us at the Union County Prosecutor’s Office and Kean University’s Multi-State Law Enforcement Recruitment Fair: Your Path to a Rewarding Career Across Five States!

The Union County Prosecutor’s Office is thrilled to share details about the 2025 Law Enforcement Recruitment Fair. This event will gather law enforcement agencies from five states on Tuesday, March 11, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM at Kean University’s Harwood Arena, located at 1000 Morris Avenue in Union, New Jersey.

More than 110 federal, state, county, and local law enforcement agencies will be at the fair. Building on last year’s success, which saw hundreds of hires in New Jersey, we expect this year to be even bigger.

Union County Prosecutor William Daniel expresses excitement about the fair. “It’s a great chance for people wanting to make a difference in their communities to meet various law enforcement agencies. We value strong connections between the community and law enforcement,” he says.

Chief of Detectives Dr. Harvey Barnwell adds, “The badge stands for trust and service. We invite those passionate about justice to join us on March 11. This fair is open to anyone interested in law enforcement, no matter their background or experience. Come explore your options and start a meaningful career.”

Kean University President Lamont O. Repollet is proud to collaborate on this event. He emphasizes that the university’s criminal justice program prepares students with essential skills needed in law enforcement.

Union County Chairwoman Lourdes M. Leon notes that this recruitment fair is an opportunity for a diverse group of individuals to consider rewarding careers in law. “We need our agencies to reflect the community they serve,” she says. “I encourage everyone to discover the many opportunities available.”

Senate President Nick Scutari emphasizes the professionalism of participating departments, stating that they provide job opportunities for those dedicated to public service. Senator Joseph Cryan echoes this support, highlighting the fair as a perfect opportunity for anyone interested in serving their community through law enforcement.

Attendees are encouraged to dress professionally and bring their resumes. In addition to law enforcement roles, opportunities for positions like assistant prosecutors, lab technicians, and administrative staff will be available for discussion.

The Law Enforcement Recruitment Fair is a joint effort by Kean University and the Union County Prosecutor’s Office, with support from the Union County Board of County Commissioners and state senators. It’s a day to learn about the diverse paths in a career dedicated to serving and protecting our communities.
