Join Us for Ruby’s Pantry Food Distribution on November 19 – Help Fight Hunger in Our Community!

BEMIDJI — Ruby’s Pantry is hosting a mobile food distribution on Wednesday, Nov. 19, starting at 4 p.m. at the Sanford Center, located at 1111 Event Center Drive NE.

During this event, anyone can drive up and pick up a grocery bundle for a $25 cash donation, with exact change preferred. There are no restrictions based on income or residency, making it accessible to many in need. It’s a good idea to bring baskets or boxes for your food.

You can also pre-pay for your grocery bundle on their website. If you choose this option, you can select a time to pick up your share. Just remember, the pre-pay deadline is 3 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 18.

If you’re interested in volunteering at the event, visit the same website and click on “Volunteer.” Ruby’s Pantry is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing affordable groceries to anyone, regardless of their financial situation.

This initiative is more important than ever. According to a recent report from the U.S. Department of Agriculture, about 10.5% of American households were food insecure in 2021.
