Join Us for the 5th Annual United Way of Allen County Food Drive Kicking Off This Monday!

FORT WAYNE, Ind. – Get ready! The 5th annual United Way of Allen County food drive starts on Monday, February 17, and runs until March 4. This is a great chance for everyone in the community to help out.

You can drop off non-perishable food items at four Salsa Grille locations in Fort Wayne. These spots are 7755 Coldwater Road, 5709 YMCA Park Drive West, 5735 Falls Drive, and 2031 Broadway.

The food collected will support three local organizations: Miss Virginia’s Food Pantry, Community Harvest Food Bank of Northeast Indiana, and Associated Churches of Fort Wayne and Allen County. Brandi Buck, the Executive Director of United Way of Allen County, highlighted the importance of this drive. “After the holidays, food banks often run low on supplies. This drive aims to help replenish those resources,” she said.

Alongside the main food drive, more than 20 community organizations will also host their own food collection efforts, extending the impact even further. The goal this year is to gather over 7,000 pounds of food, surpassing last year’s total.

If you want to contribute financially, you can make a monetary donation through the United Way’s website or by texting FOOD25 to 41444.
