India is now home to the third-largest startup ecosystem in the world, with over 160,000 registered startups boosting innovation and job creation. These startups are not just about making money; they’re working to solve real problems and support initiatives like Atmanirbhar Bharat and Make in India. Sectors such as fintech, health tech, deep tech, and sustainability are experiencing exciting developments, making India a crucial player on the global startup stage.

The HT Media Crafting Bharat Awards 2025 celebrate individuals and organizations making a difference. Originally launched as a podcast, this initiative has grown into a platform that shares inspiring startup stories while honoring the efforts behind them.

On February 21, 2025, the awards took place at the ITC Grand Central in Mumbai. This special event gathered entrepreneurs and industry leaders for a night of celebration and meaningful discussions. It went beyond traditional awards by recognizing not just businesses but also the unique contributions of artists, scientists, and advocates who are shaping India’s future.

A big thanks to our gifting partners who added extra joy to the event. Sylvi, created by Krushna Ghevariya and Ishan Kukadia, provided stylish watches, while Magical Blends, led by Uttara, offered premium skincare kits to the award recipients.

The awards were given in three categories:

  • 30 Under 30 – Honoring young innovators
  • 40 Under 40 – Celebrating mid-career successes
  • Bharat Innovators – Recognizing impactful change-makers

Each winner’s journey added to the rich narrative of India’s growth. Notable awardees included:

Sangram Singh, a professional wrestler and motivational speaker, was recognized for his inspiring story of resilience. He has worked hard to overcome challenges and now motivates thousands through his talks and philanthropic work.

Dia Mirza, an actress and UN Environment Goodwill Ambassador, was honored for her dedication to environmental issues. Beyond her film career, she tirelessly champions sustainability and wildlife conservation.

Avinash Tiwary received praise for his unique contributions to Indian cinema. His ability to transform characters and tell meaningful stories is refreshing in today’s film landscape.

Swastika Mukherjee, known for her bold performances, was also celebrated. She breaks barriers in the entertainment world while advocating for animal rights and social issues.

The Crafting Bharat Awards recognized a wide range of innovators across different sectors. Examples include:

  • Shalil Gupta from Ozonetel, who reshaped customer experiences.
  • Arhan Bagati and Dr. Meenakshi Shanbhag, focusing on social impact.
  • Sidharth Ghosh, elevating entertainment technology.

The evening celebrated not just achievements but also the spirit of innovation and community that fuels India’s growth. Each awardee shared stories of determination and creativity, reflecting the bright future of the nation.

The event signaled that change is possible when passionate people come together. It wasn’t merely an award ceremony; it was a rallying call for everyone to contribute to a brighter, self-reliant Bharat. As the night concluded, it became clear that each journey shared would inspire others to follow suit. The Crafting Bharat movement is just beginning.
