The University of Hawai’i softball team is gearing up for an exciting event! On January 18, 2026, they will hold their very first Pre-Season Pa’ina fundraiser at the Rainbow Wahine Softball Stadium. The fun starts at 3:00 p.m. HT, and it promises to be a great time for fans and players alike.
Attendees will have a chance to meet the new head coach, Panita Thanatharn, along with her coaching staff and the team. There will be engaging activities, including a “Hit-A-Thon” for players, a Home Run Derby open to alumnae and guests, and an opportunity to get autographs from the team.
Admission Details
Tickets are priced at $50 for adults and $25 for children aged 6-14. The price includes heavy pupu (a mix of appetizers) and two drink coupons. Notably, Hawai’i softball alumnae can participate in the Home Run Derby for free, while others can join for a $50 donation.
Why Participate?
All funds raised will go toward supporting the team in various ways. This includes providing healthy snacks and protein shakes for the players, acquiring technology for scouting, and purchasing equipment for team development. According to a recent report by the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), investing in athlete health and technology significantly contributes to improved performance and competitive edge.
Community Engagement
Events like this are crucial for fostering community spirit and support for collegiate teams. Social media buzz around such fundraisers often includes hashtags like #HawaiiSB, uniting fans and players. Previous events have shown that when fans engage with players off the field, it results in stronger support during the games.
