TULSA, OK – [September 18, 2025] – This Saturday, September 20, the Tulsa Health Department (THD) will host its 9th annual North Tulsa Community Baby Shower from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the YMCA Gym on the TCC Northeast Campus, located at 3727 East Apache Street. Parking is available in lots 5, 6, and 8.
This event aims to support expectant parents and families with little ones under one year old living in North Tulsa zip codes 74106, 74110, 74115, 74116, 74117, 74126, 74127, and 74130.
Attendees can look forward to:
- Connecting with local agencies and healthcare providers for parenting support.
- Participating in educational sessions on topics like infant safe sleep, which is vital for reducing infant mortality.
- Enjoying fun activities and tasty food.
- Receiving diapers, wipes, clothing, and other helpful giveaways to welcome their new baby.
- Tasting mocktails and getting recipe cards from Tulsa’s Stop DUI Task Force in collaboration with THD’s Regional Prevention Coordinator program.
- Visiting the Fatherhood Hub, a space dedicated to dads, with resources tailored just for them.
