Huntington, W.Va. – The Marshall Men’s Golf team is geared up for the Joe Feaganes Marshall Invitational, kicking off on Monday at Guyan Country Club. They’re eager to defend their title from last year.

Senior Cameron Jarvis is not just focusing on the team victory; he’s aiming for his second consecutive individual win after grabbing the top spot in 2024. His coach, Matt Grobe, shared his excitement about the team’s competitive spirit. “I am really excited to see the guys compete in the next few days. Qualifying has been very competitive, and the guys are playing solid as we head into our first tournament of the year.”

The tournament begins with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. on Monday, featuring 36 holes of play on the first day. The closing 18 holes will take place on Tuesday, with another 8:30 a.m. start.

Marshall’s lineup includes Jarvis, Wes Lorish, Cael Ropietski, Clayton Thomas, and Tanner Vest. Individual competitors are Jack Minutoli, Jackson Woodburn, Ben Bridges, and Sammy Shy. A total of 15 teams will participate, vying for the 2025 Joe Feaganes Invitational title.

In 2021, the Invitational was a crucial event that showcased emerging talent in college golf. With universities like Purdue Fort Wayne and Youngstown State also participating, the competition promises to be robust.
