A three-day international conference dedicated to King Rushabhdev is set to take place at the Kora Kendra Ground in Borivali, Mumbai, from December 19 to 21. Organized by the Labdhi Vikram Janseva Trust (LVJST), the event explores the significant contributions of this ancient ruler to Indian civilization.
Historical evidence suggests that King Rushabhdev played a vital role in shaping early Indian society. Not only is he considered the founder of Indian civilization, but he is also seen as the inspiration behind concepts such as startups and sustainable development, which many believe have Western origins.
The conference will kick off with a ceremonial procession on the first day, followed by the inauguration of key events by several dignitaries, including Maharashtra’s Chief Minister, Shri Devendra Fadnavis. Spiritual leaders and scholars will share insights on King Rushabhdev’s teachings, highlighting his influence on vocational skills and arts.
Over the two days following the opening, scholars from more than 150 institutions will present research papers covering various subjects related to King Rushabhdev. Topics will include trade, mathematics, and the arts, all of which showcase the advanced knowledge systems of ancient India. Additionally, a remarkable release of 1,111 books—ranging from manuscripts to rare texts—will also take place, setting a record globally.
Experts believe that understanding our historical roots is crucial in shaping a robust future. This conference aims to bridge the past with the present through discussions on India’s rich cultural heritage. With attendance expected to exceed 100,000, the event promises to be a significant gathering for networking and collaboration.
