Join Us for the SSM Health Food Distribution Event on February 19: Nourishing Our Community Together!

SSM Health is taking steps to fight food insecurity in the St. Louis area. On February 19, 2025, they are partnering with the St. Louis Area Foodbank to host a free food distribution event. This will happen at SSM Health DePaul Hospital located at 12303 DePaul Drive, Bridgeton, MO, starting at 9 a.m. until supplies run out.

According to Karen Bradshaw, the regional director of community health, “Our commitment to the well-being of our neighbors goes beyond medical care.” This event is a great way for SSM Health staff to engage with the community and support those in need. Everyone in the community is welcome to come and receive food.

When you arrive, you will find SSM Health team members ready to help with the distribution. Because it’s a drive-through setup, volunteers will place food directly into vehicles, so please make sure there’s enough space for the items. Additionally, to keep things safe and organized, it’s important for motorists to stay in their cars during the event.

If you’re interested in helping throughout the year, the St. Louis Area Foodbank appreciates donations. They are looking for non-perishable items that are sealed and suitable for special diets. Items high in protein, whole grains, and low in sodium or sugar can make a significant difference.

The Foodbank serves our community by collaborating with over 500 local agencies, addressing hunger in 26 counties across Missouri and Illinois. Each year, they provide food to more than 392,000 people, making a positive impact on many lives.

Please consider donating to help those in need. Arriving at least 15 minutes early for the event is recommended to ensure a smooth experience. For further details, you can reach out to the St. Louis Area Foodbank at (314) 292-6262.
