Join Us for the Third Annual Prom Rewind in DeKalb: A Night of Fun Benefiting Barb Food Mart!

DeKALB – Get ready for an unforgettable night!

On April 5, the Egyptian Theatre will host the third annual Prom Rewind, all to support Barb Food Mart. The fun kicks off at 7 p.m.

This event is one of the food pantry’s biggest fundraisers of the year. Denise Salihoglu, the director of Barb Food Mart, shared the heart behind Prom Rewind. “It’s a chance for adults to relive their prom experience. Maybe you didn’t go to prom, or perhaps it didn’t go as planned. This is your opportunity to dance, enjoy cocktails, and have a blast while helping those in need,” she explained.

At Prom Rewind, expect an exciting atmosphere complete with a live DJ, fun photo ops, and a bar. Salihoglu emphasized that they create a welcoming vibe for everyone.

Tickets are $40 each, and couples can get two tickets for $100. This package includes a souvenir frame and a ticket to the photo booth to capture those memories.

Last year, the event sold out with 300 attendees. Salihoglu hopes for another successful turnout this year. “All the funds raised go directly to Barb Food Mart, buying food for families in need. Last year, we raised $15,000 for this cause,” she said.

The fun doesn’t end with prom! For just an extra $10, attendees can join a post-prom event at El Jimador Mexican Grill, located at 260 E. Lincoln Highway. It’s a fantastic way to keep the party going!
