Since buying Valley Feed in summer 2024, Freeman and Mary Anne Miller have been focused on broadening local feed choices. Recently, they shared exciting news: their first shipment of non-GMO feeds from Nemo Feed has arrived.

In a press release, Valley Feed announced, “We’ve received a semi-truck load from Nemo Feed LLC. Now, we can offer customers a range of non-GMO feeds they’ve been requesting. This includes chicken starter, turkey feed, and various options for horses, goats, sheep, rabbits, cattle, and swine.”

Nemo Feed, a small business from Baring, Missouri, specializes in non-GMO feed production. With Valley Feed being the first store in Colorado to stock their products, this partnership marks a significant milestone for local agriculture.

To celebrate the new relationship, Valley Feed is hosting a customer appreciation day on Saturday, April 26. Enjoy free coffee, donuts, and hamburgers while checking out the new inventory. Plus, attendees can get 10% off all saddles and horse tack. There will also be free delivery on feed orders made that day.

This event is not just about feed; it’s a chance for the community to come together. Local farms and families are increasingly turning to non-GMO options for health and environmental reasons. According to a recent survey from the Organic Trade Association, 59% of consumers prioritize non-GMO products, reflecting growing awareness and demand.
