DOTHAN, Ala. – The 2025 Miracle on Foster food drive just wrapped up, and it was a big success! Thanks to our generous community, we’ll provide thousands of meals for those in need this holiday season.
This year, despite cold and rainy weather, people showed up to support the cause. We set up in four locations: Walmart in Enterprise, Walmart in Dothan (southside), Hometown Foods in Headland, and the Charles Woods Building on Foster Street. Together, we collected an impressive 3,423 pounds of food!
Of that total, 3,312 pounds came from canned and dry foods, while 111 pounds were frozen turkeys donated at the Foster Street site. On top of the food, we gathered around $11,795 in cash and checks, plus another $1,340 online. Altogether, that brings us to $13,135 in monetary donations.
This remarkable effort will provide about 116,690 meals to the Wiregrass Area Food Bank. These meals will go to families who need them the most during the holidays.
A big thank you to everyone who gave their time and resources to make this drive a success. Such community spirit truly makes a difference in people’s lives.
