To ensure its future and grow its programs, Humanities Guåhan is launching the Humanities 100 campaign. This fundraising drive hopes to collect $35,000, with every dollar matched by the Federation of State Humanities Councils and supported by the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation.
Every contribution helps maintain the unique cultural, historical, and social fabric of Guåhan. This funding will create new opportunities for reflection, conversation, and lifelong learning, benefitting both present and future generations.
Despite facing challenges like limited personnel and resources, Humanities Guåhan’s dedicated team continues to develop programs that strengthen community bonds. They express gratitude to friends and partners in Guåhan, the Pacific, and beyond for their ongoing support.
The organization will soon announce anniversary events and special programs. One exciting initiative is “By The People: Conversations Beyond 250,” a national effort to encourage community-driven discussions across various states.
