Terry Tempest Williams, a powerful voice in environmentalism and justice, is coming to Spokane on April 7 for an event hosted by the Gonzaga Institute for Climate, Water, and the Environment. John Eliason, interim director of Gonzaga’s Visiting Writer Series, adds that hosting Williams is more than a literary event. “She challenges the idea that we are separate from nature. Her work highlights our connections to the world, encouraging us to think deeply and care more,” he explains.
This collaboration between the Climate Institute and the Visiting Writer Series reflects Gonzaga’s mission to promote learning and ethical living. “Both programs have unique focuses, but this partnership embodies Gonzaga’s values,” Eliason says. “Attendees will leave with fresh perspectives on caring for themselves and the planet.”
