LUBBOCK, Texas – Food Truck for a Cause is back this weekend, inviting local vendors to unite for a great cause. Each month, they support a different nonprofit, and this time, the spotlight is on Brittany and Devin’s Angels. Founded by Tiffany Lilly-Essix, this organization is dedicated to mentoring youth and teaching essential life skills.
According to Lilly-Essix, many kids and families hesitate to ask for help. “There are kids that need it, and sometimes they’re too ashamed to reach out,” she explains. The nonprofit thrives on community donations to continue their vital programs.
At the event, 10% of the proceeds from the vendors will go directly to the chosen nonprofit. Lilly-Essix expresses gratitude for the support: “I’m just glad to partner with Ashley and all the other food trucks to give back.”
Ashley Zubia, the event organizer, started Food Truck for a Cause with a mission to help feed those in need. She hopes to make supporting local nonprofits easy for everyone. “Even if you can only make a small purchase, it can still help,” Zubia says. “Your support shows kids that the community stands behind them.”
