Join Us This Weekend for a Free Health Clinic and Wellness Fair at St. Xavier High School!

CINCINNATI (WKRC) – This weekend, Cincinnati residents can receive free medical, dental, and vision care thanks to a partnership between the University of Cincinnati RAM Chapter, Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield, and Remote Area Medical.

The two-day clinic and wellness fair will be held at St. Xavier High School. It’s designed for individuals and families who may find it hard to access affordable healthcare. Services include dental cleanings, fillings, extractions, X-rays, vision exams, and the option to get glasses made on-site. Women’s health exams and general medical checkups will also be available.

Dr. Turab Rai, a dentist at Franklin Dental Care and Dentures, expressed the importance of this initiative. “As community leaders, we need to help others access the care they deserve. Many of these people haven’t seen a dentist in years. We’re here to change that,” he said.

Apart from medical services, Anthem will host a wellness fair on Saturday, July 19, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Local nonprofits and healthcare organizations will be present, along with a special backpack giveaway for families getting ready for the new school year.

This event highlights a growing need for accessible healthcare options in the community. According to a recent survey by the Kaiser Family Foundation, about 27% of Americans reported delaying medical care due to cost. Events like this offer a lifeline to those in need.
