Join Us Today for the Exciting UNMC All-Campus Forum: Your Voice Matters!

UNMC faculty, staff, and students can join Interim Chancellor H. Dele Davies, MD, for an engaging forum today, May 19. This gathering is a great opportunity to hear some key updates and connect with campus leadership.

Dr. Davies will be accompanied by Anne Barnes, vice chancellor for business, finance, and business development at UNMC. She’ll share important information about the University of Nebraska’s budget, which is set to be finalized by the Nebraska Legislature this month. Barnes also plays a crucial role as interim vice president and chief financial officer for the University of Nebraska System.

The forum will take place from noon to 1 p.m. in Room 1002 at the UNMC Center for Drug Discovery and Lozier Center for Pharmacy Sciences and Education in Omaha. If you can’t make it in person, don’t worry! You can join via Zoom. The link is available on the campus intranet.

In this session, Dr. Davies will cover important updates about UNMC’s strategic planning and any state or federal changes that may impact the university. Additionally, he will discuss UNMC’s academic growth in Kearney and ongoing construction projects. Exciting times are ahead!

Questions are welcomed during or before the forum. If you have a question in mind, feel free to email the UNMC Strategic Communications team. An American Sign Language interpreter will be present to ensure accessibility for all attendees.

Accurate communication is crucial during these times. According to a recent survey conducted by the Association of American Medical Colleges, nearly 75% of academic institutions are focusing on expanding their services and resources to improve community health responses. This aligns well with the ongoing strategic updates from UNMC.

It’s essential to stay informed about these developments at UNMC as they shape the future of healthcare education and innovation in our community.
