So far this season, the Tar Heels have a record of 12 wins and 9 losses, with 6 wins and 6 losses in the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC). They began strong with three consecutive home victories against Boston College, SMU, and Miami last month, but have faced challenges lately, losing three matches in a row leading up to this crucial encounter with Duke. Currently, UNC is tied with Miami for eighth place in the ACC standings, just behind Clemson and ahead of Georgia Tech.
On the other side, Duke comes into this match with a record of 15 wins and 7 losses, holding a tied position for fourth in the conference. However, the Blue Devils have also struggled recently, dropping three out of their last four matches.
