Jon Bernthal is back as the Punisher!
The talented actor will reprise his role as Frank Castle in a special for Marvel Television, as confirmed by The Hollywood Reporter.
Bernthal is not just returning; he’s also helping to write this standalone special with director Reinaldo Marcus Green. This new show will be available on Disney+ in 2026, right alongside the second season of Daredevil. Season one of Daredevil: Born Again is set to drop on March 4, 2024, featuring Bernthal as the Punisher.
Bernthal first introduced the Punisher in 2016 during the second season of Netflix’s Daredevil. His portrayal of this complex character resonated with audiences, leading to his own series, The Punisher, which ran for two seasons from 2017 to 2019.
