Josh O’Connor Quashes Rumors About Starring in a Live-Action ‘Ratatouille’ on ‘Saturday Night Live’ – Here’s What He Really Thinks!

Josh O’Connor recently addressed rumors about a possible role in a live-action Ratatouille during his Saturday Night Live appearance. He made it clear that he doesn’t want the part, despite some buzz suggesting otherwise.

Starting his monologue, O’Connor shared his notable projects, like The Crown and Knives Out. He joked about his reputation as a “soft boy” who prefers a quiet life. He explained how a simple comment about loving Ratatouille led to wild speculations that he could play Chef Linguini in a remake.

“I had no idea this was happening until the Disney-Pixar president announced that a live-action version would never happen,” he quipped. “It’s strange to be publicly turned down for a role I didn’t want in the first place.”

He did add, almost teasingly, that he could nail the role of Linguini and suggested Jeff Goldblum as a fitting choice for the character of Anton Ego. “You can’t have Ratatouille without the right cast. It just wouldn’t work.”

O’Connor’s strong performance in The Crown earned him an Emmy, establishing him as a credible actor in Hollywood. This led to various roles, including the upcoming Challengers. His SNL hosting debut showcased both his comedic chops and charm, making the night memorable.

In the Saturday Night Live cold open, comedian James Austin Johnson portrayed a seemingly exhausted former President Trump, tackling recent news topics. Johnson humorously referred to the Warner Bros. Discovery merger and even joked about bizarre photos involving Trump and Epstein.

O’Connor’s appearance coincided with musical guest Lily Allen, who performed tracks from her new album, West End Girl. The night concluded with more exciting episodes scheduled in the SNL lineup, featuring stars like Ariana Grande and Cher.

This blend of comedy and musical talent brings something special to SNL, keeping audiences engaged and entertained.
