At the Skate For LA Strong event in Los Angeles, Justin Bieber and former NHL star Jeremy Roenick had quite the playful showdown. Instead of exchanging apologies, they were all smiles as they briefly engaged in a light-hearted tussle on the ice.
During the charity hockey tournament at Crypto.com Arena, Bieber, 30, and 55-year-old Roenick playfully pretended to fight, with Roenick’s jersey momentarily covering his head. It was a comical scene until former NHL player Derek Armstrong stepped in to break it up, joined by Nate Thompson, another ex-professional. As Bieber skated away, he couldn’t hide his joy, grinning widely.
Snoop Dogg, who was one of the honorary coaches for Team Black along with Will Ferrell, even joked, “That’s Justin Bieber, somebody go help Justin!”
The event, supported by the Los Angeles Kings and the NHL, was aimed at raising funds for first responders. Celebrities like Steve Carell, Danny DeVito, and Vince Vaughn participated as honorary coaches. Bieber shared his delight at the event, saying, “We’re looking to have a good time and show when we come together, good things happen.”
Roenick, who had a successful 20-year NHL career, described the tournament as “an amazing celebration of hockey and first responders.” He appreciated the participation of local firefighters, highlighting the community spirit of the day.
Bieber has been in the news lately, facing rumors about his marriage and personal life. His representatives recently dismissed these suggestions as harmful and misleading, emphasizing the negativity surrounding his public image.
Overall, the event showcased fun, camaraderie, and a strong sense of community, all while raising money for a good cause.
