Kelowna Company Invites Vernon Residents to Share Their Thoughts: Join the Conversation!

A company from Kelowna is working to create positive change in the Vernon neighborhood of East Hill.

On Thursday, March 13, from 2 to 5 p.m., residents are invited to join a public forum at the Vernon Library, Community Room. This open-house event welcomes everyone to share their thoughts and hopes for East Hill’s future.

As nonprofits face financial challenges and increased community needs, Reframe Concepts is stepping up to find new ways to support communities. They collaborate with nonprofit organizations to rethink how they can use their resources, especially land, to benefit everyone.

Laurence East, a partner at Reframe, highlights the importance of this community spirit. “It’s rare for a social-purpose landowner to actively seek out community involvement in such a meaningful way,” he says. “We aim to gather diverse ideas to build a vision that truly reflects the hopes of East Hill residents. Just 20 minutes of your time can help us make a significant difference.”

Nonprofits in British Columbia are facing tough times with rising costs and steady demand for services, not to mention a shortage of volunteers. However, Reframe believes there are still chances to reimagine community spaces and build effective partnerships.

By participating in this forum, locals can share their thoughts on sticky notes, engage with Reframe staff, and enjoy light refreshments. This is an opportunity to join the conversation about the future of East Hill.

Reframe Concepts is dedicated to working with organizations that aim for long-term community impact. They focus on helping nonprofits and landowners improve their governance and sustainability, ensuring they not only survive but thrive in today’s ever-changing environment.
