Experts warn that the toll could escalate further if a solution isn’t reached soon. A recent survey indicated that 70% of Ukrainians believe peace is possible but are concerned about the terms.
While Trump’s approach has often raised eyebrows, he emphasized that some land concessions might need to be made sooner rather than later to prevent further invasions by Russia. “Some of that land has been taken,” he suggested, emphasizing the urgency of a deal.
