Kia showcases its electric vehicle lineup at the Australian Open through unique tech activations: Kia Powerhouse, Colour Match, Charge Up, and Cool Room.

Dean Norbiato, Kia Australia’s marketing head, explains, “We focus on creating experiences that enhance our brand. Our activations show off our technology while connecting with fans at one of the world’s largest sporting events.”

At Grand Slam Oval, Kia unveils its flagship models—the EV9, EV5, and EV3. The exciting X-Ray Slider display showcases the technology inside the EV9, illuminating the energy flow within its battery system.

In a first for Australia, the Hologram Hub uses mist to create a fun tennis experience, pitting Rafael Nadal against the EV9 in a virtual rally. This display highlights Kia’s connection to the sport and honors Nadal, who retired in 2024 after winning 20 Grand Slam titles.

The Kia Colour Match activation offers fans a chance to explore their personal color profiles. Developed with help from a specialist from Seoul, fans are matched with seasonal palettes based on their features and personality.

The updated Kia EV6 is featured at the Kia Charge Up area, where its advanced Vehicle to Load (V2L) feature keeps phone charging lockers powered up for free. Located near a busy entry point, fans can charge their devices safely while enjoying the event.

The Kia Cool Room, located at Federation Square, creates a unique experience. Modeled after a storage compartment in the EV5 GT-Line, it offers a cool retreat from Melbourne’s heat. Visitors can see the temperature-controlled drawer in a display car parked nearby.

The Kia Pavilion serves as a hub for corporate guests along the AO River Terrace. This space reflects Kia’s commitment to sustainability, reusing materials from previous builds to create an eco-friendly environment.
