Kroger and PepsiCo Team Up to Combat Food Insecurity and Celebrate National Family Meals Month at FMI Foundation Cook-Off!

The Kroger Co. and PepsiCo focus on health and well-being initiatives in the U.S.

CINCINNATI — Kroger and PepsiCo recently won a Gold Mitt Award for Chef’s Choice during the FMI Foundation’s Stir it Up! event at the FMI Midwinter Executive Conference. This culinary competition celebrates National Family Meals Month while promoting food security. The theme this year was “What’s for Dinner? Dishing up New Family Flavors.”

Keith Dailey, Kroger’s VP of corporate affairs, emphasized the importance of collaboration in the grocery industry. “We aim to make nutritious food affordable and safe while creating memorable family dining experiences,” he said.

The FMI Foundation has been organizing the Stir it Up! competition for nine years to raise funds for crucial food safety, health, and nutrition research. Retailers and suppliers unite to support this mission.

“Partnerships are essential for improving nutrition access,” said Kent Montgomery, Senior VP of Industry Relations at PepsiCo North America. “We are proud to collaborate with the FMI Foundation and Kroger to address community challenges and provide accessible meal recipes during Family Meal Month.”

The special menu from PepsiCo and Kroger is inspired by Asian flavors with a Flamin’ Hot twist. Customers can explore a range of unique food and drink options. Some favorites include dishes that bring families together over delicious meals.

For fresh ingredients and great savings, customers can visit Kroger.com or use the Kroger app for weekly digital coupons offering more than $600 in savings. With countless meal possibilities, Kroger aims to inspire home cooking.
