Kutztown University recently unveiled a refreshed athletic website, KUBears.com, in partnership with SIDEARM Sports. This new design launched on October 1, and it’s the latest upgrade since the site first went live in 2010 and had its last major redesign in 2020.
Matt Heffelfinger, the director of sports information, expressed his excitement about the new site. He mentioned that the website reflects the achievements of Kutztown’s teams and student-athletes. It serves as a platform to showcase their hard work in academics, athletics, and community service.
KUBears.com is designed as a one-stop shop for everything related to Kutztown’s 23 varsity sports. Fans can find the latest news, game results, rosters, and schedules. The site also features live event updates, links to KU athletics on social media, and even shopping options for Golden Bear gear.
One of the standout features of the redesign is its mobile-friendly layout. The site adapts to various devices, ensuring a seamless experience whether you’re on a computer, tablet, or phone. This functionality is especially important today, as recent studies show over 54% of web traffic comes from mobile devices.
Expert opinions echo the significance of a functional website. According to Dr. Sarah Peters, a digital marketing expert, a user-friendly site can boost engagement and reach. “Students and fans alike appreciate a site that is easy to navigate,” she says. “It’s essential for schools to keep up with modern technology.”
Thanks to SIDEARM Sports, led by project manager Susan Baiter, the redesign process was smooth. Heffelfinger emphasized the team’s continuous support during the project, which he described as a significant challenge that they tackled together.
This revamped website reflects the dedication of Kutztown’s athletic programs and aims to engage a wider audience. For updates, check out KUBears.com.
