LAS CRUCES, N.M. — Police in Las Cruces are looking into a troubling report involving a drink from a local fast-food restaurant. A 20-year-old man became ill after consuming the beverage, which may have been tainted with fentanyl.
This incident took place around 1 p.m. on a Tuesday. Details about the restaurant involved haven’t been released. Fortunately, when authorities arrived, the young man was able to walk and was taken to a nearby hospital. His injuries were described as “not life-threatening.”
