It’s finally here! Today marks the last chance to grab Switch Game Vouchers before they are officially discontinued.
Nintendo announced this change back in July 2025, and now the deadline has arrived. You have until 11:59 PM in your time zone to make your last purchases. If you buy today, your vouchers will be valid for a whole year, expiring on January 30, 2027. Just remember, you need an active Nintendo Switch Online membership to get these vouchers.
For those who haven’t taken advantage of this offer yet, Switch Game Vouchers come in pairs. Each pair costs £84 or $99.98. When used on two full-price Switch 1 games, you can save around £16 or $20. That’s a pretty good deal!
Though these vouchers can’t be used on Switch 2 games, Nintendo has promised to keep adding more eligible Switch 1 titles through 2026. Recently, they announced that “Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream,” as well as anticipated games like “Metroid Prime 4: Beyond” and “Pokémon Legends: Z-A,” are part of this offer. These games also come with the option to upgrade to Switch 2 down the line.

To purchase vouchers, simply visit the Nintendo website and sign in with your Nintendo Switch Online account. You can also find the option in your eShop on the Switch. Keep in mind, you can only have up to eight active vouchers at any time.
As a side note, according to recent surveys, more gamers are looking to save on game purchases, with about 70% saying they prefer deals or bundles. This trend makes the Switch Game Vouchers a popular choice among players. The excitement around these vouchers reflects the ongoing demand for value in gaming.
