DURANGO, Colo. (November 22, 2025) — Lubbock Christian University showcased a stunning second-half performance to win against Fort Lewis College, 94-76. The Chaparrals matched a program record by sinking 20 three-pointers, with 11 coming in the second half alone. They also racked up 27 assists, demonstrating strong teamwork throughout the game. Meanwhile, Fort Lewis scored 42 points in the paint but struggled to keep pace.
Now sitting at 6-0 for the season, Lubbock Christian has established itself as a force on the court, while Fort Lewis stands at 2-2.
The game started with a bang. Amondo Miller Jr., playing against his former team, quickly scored two back-to-back three-pointers. He ended the first half with 20 points. Alongside him, Kendall Dow and Antonio Pusateri also made significant contributions, helping the Chaparrals stay strong against the Skyhawks. By halftime, Lubbock led 45-38.
In the second half, Fort Lewis fought back, pulling within one point with a dunk. But the Chaparrals responded with a quick score to regain their momentum. The teams traded leads, with Fort Lewis tying it at 63 before Lubbock pulled ahead for good. In the final moments, Miller’s sharp shooting helped widen the gap.
Lubbock’s three-point shooting was phenomenal, finishing the second half at a blazing 78.6%. They only made eight two-point shots, but their long-range shooting secured the win.
Miller led with 29 points and grabbed 10 rebounds, earning a double-double. Dow contributed 15 points and dished out six assists, while Leo Nordberg added nine points and five assists. Lucas Mercandino rounded out the strong performance with 12 points and six assists.
