Delson raved about the course, saying, “This is the best course I’ve raced on in boardercross. It feels like true racing with tight turns and big berms. It’s such an adrenaline rush, and I had a blast!”
Cécile Hernandez from France noted the emergence of new talent. “There’s a new generation coming up, and I feel old! The competition is fierce with the Chinese and American riders. This is the kind of snowboard cross I love,” she shared.
In the men’s events, we saw fierce competition across various categories. Pengyao Wang from China topped the Men’s Upper Limb (UL) category, while Tyler Turner from Canada won in Men’s Lower Limb 1 (LL1). Emanuel Perathoner from Italy took first in Men’s Lower Limb 2 (LL2), just ahead of his rival Ben Tudhope from Australia and local favorite Fabrice Von Grünigen from Switzerland.
After heavy snowfall on Thursday, the organizers worked hard to prepare the race course for Friday. Their efforts resulted in excellent racing conditions.
Aron Fahrni from Switzerland expressed his excitement: “It’s so much fun to race here! Family and friends came to cheer, and having the World Cup in Switzerland is amazing. The course is well-built—safe but full of fun features. All the riders I talked to loved it.” Fahrni advanced to the quarterfinals in the Men’s UL category and finished eighth. The event was a strong showcase, with Lijia Ji from China taking the win, followed by Jian Yang and Pengyao Wang.
