Lindenwood Baseball Dominates Morehead State
Lindenwood’s baseball team had an impressive game against Morehead State, winning 15-2. This marked their third straight series win in the OVC, pushing their season record to 20-18, with a 7-7 OVC standing.
The Lions showcased their power with a season-high 14 hits and five home runs. Tyler Ellis and Sam Driscoll stood out, each hitting three times. Ellis hit two homers and drove in four runs. Driscoll added a double, triple, and a home run.
On the mound, Seth Benes pitched all seven innings. He allowed just three hits and struck out five, improving his record to 4-3.
The game took off in the third inning. After a slow start, Lindenwood scored six runs. Filip Sarota led off with a double, and Owen Ralph hit his first homer of the season. By the end of that inning, the Lions were in control.

Driscoll further impressed by almost completing a cycle, ending the game with a double. With the score 15-2 and the game nearing its end, Benes secured the win without allowing another run.
The Lions will finish their series with Morehead State on Sunday. They’re set for a busy schedule ahead, including a five-game homestand starting Wednesday against UMSL.
