College Sport Communicators (CSC) recently announced their 2025 Women’s Volleyball Academic All-District Teams, celebrating the achievements of student-athletes who excel both in sports and academics. Lindenwood University proudly has two representatives: Autumn Bax and Ashley Geluck.
Autumn Bax, a sophomore hitter from Jefferson City, stands out not just for her athletic skills but also her dedication to education. Majoring in Business Administration, she maintains an impressive 3.80 GPA. This season, she shone on the court with 336 kills, ranking her fourth in the conference with an average of 3.46 kills per set.
Next up is Ashley Geluck, a junior blocker from Millstadt, Illinois. Also studying Business Administration, she has a solid 3.51 GPA. In the 2025 season, she contributed significantly to her team, tallying 273 kills, 27 service aces, and 47 blocks.
The Academic All-District Teams spotlight student-athletes who excel in both academic and athletic arenas. It’s a platform where dedication and hard work in both fields are recognized. The CSC will soon announce the first, second, and third-team Academic All-America honorees, which will highlight even more talented individuals.
This year’s college volleyball scene underscores the balance between sports and academics. For many athletes, excelling in both arenas can open doors for future opportunities. The integration of strong academics with athletic performance is becoming a defining feature of programs across the nation.
Research shows that student-athletes often develop exceptional time management and teamwork skills, which benefit them beyond their college years. A 2022 study indicated that 80% of former student-athletes believed their sports experience contributed positively to their job readiness and career success.
As the season progresses, the achievements of athletes like Bax and Geluck inspire future generations to pursue excellence in all aspects of life. For more on the CSC Academic All-America program, you can explore their mission here.
