On August 16, TikTok videos surfaced showing the impersonator convincing the crowd, DJ Gryffin, and even the venue staff that he was the pop star. He reportedly even racked up a bar tab of $10,000. Gryffin later shared a video explaining how he was misled, noting that the impersonator was backed by a team who insisted he wanted to perform.

In a dark club with loud music, it’s easy to see how someone could be fooled. Gryffin was initially excited to have Bieber perform but quickly realized this was no superstar. When his team revealed the truth, he said he felt disbelief – it turned out this wasn’t the first time such a prank had been pulled off.

The impersonator, Dylan Desclos, is a 29-year-old French man known for his Bieber impersonations. His Instagram account has been taken down, but he has a history of going viral, even catching the attention of Hailey Bieber, who once commented that she felt “scared” after seeing him impersonate her husband.
