SAN ANGELO, Texas (May 15, 2025) – Lubbock Christian’s season wrapped up in the NCAA South Central Regional, losing 10-7 to No. 21 St. Edward’s and 11-3 to No. 1 Angelo State. They finished with a record of 34-23, placing fourth in the Lone Star Conference with a 30-18 mark. This year marked their sixth NCAA Tournament appearance in program history, and the third in a row.

St. Edward’s jumped ahead early, scoring nine runs in the first inning, largely driven by a bases-clearing double from Connor Cox. Lubbock Christian struggled offensively for the first half of the game. Relief pitcher Andrew Duran, in his last outing for LCU, shone by not allowing any more runs after the first inning, striking out seven batters over six innings.
The Chaps finally got on the board in the fifth when Aidan Finnegan scored following a double by Frayner Chavez. Kade York and Brevin McCool added runs later, with McCool hitting a home run that tied the single-season record for Lubbock Christian at 31, previously set in 1987.
