Seeing Malik Nabers in pain is something no Giants fan wants. He might have a shoulder injury after a practice incident where he blocked on a run play. He was on the ground for a moment before walking off, holding his left shoulder. You can see the clip of it here.
He went to the field house with head trainer Ronnie Barnes but didn’t come back. The team isn’t too worried, though. Nabers already missed OTAs and minicamp with a toe injury that has bothered him since his LSU days. He’s mentioned that it might need surgery someday.
Coach Brian Daboll previously said they’d be careful with his toe and limit his training camp reps. However, Nabers had been performing well up to this point. He missed two games last year due to a concussion, along with other injuries like hip flexor and knee issues.
Meanwhile, Tyrone Tracy Jr. might see less action with the arrival of fourth-round draft pick Cam Skattebo. However, he remains positive about the situation. “Cam is a great addition to our running back group,” he said. “Each of us brings something unique. No matter who’s in the game, we produce.”
Tracy believes their skills work well together. “Cam is strong and powerful; I’m more slippery. But we can both catch passes and protect the quarterback,” he added. Having a mix of styles can help the team adjust to what the game needs.
In a more serious event, Coach Daboll addressed the tragic shooting that occurred at an office building housing NFL headquarters. An NFL employee was injured in the incident, and the team extended their thoughts and prayers to those affected. “It’s a tragic situation,” Daboll said.
