Manhattan Women’s Soccer Falls to Quinnipiac in Thrilling Regular Season Finale

HAMDEN, CT – The Manhattan Jaspers Women’s Soccer team faced Quinnipiac University in their final regular-season match, ending with a 2-0 loss.

Game Highlights

The action kicked off quickly. Just four minutes in, Quinnipiac’s Morgan Cupo scored, putting the Bobcats ahead. Manhattan had its chances but struggled to convert. Amaya Hill’s attempt in the 13th minute missed the mark, and shots from Mayah Wheeler, Scarlett Smith, and Olivia McMaster were blocked shortly after.

Scarlett Smith had Manhattan’s only shot on target in the 35th minute, which was saved by Quinnipiac’s Olivia Jarvis. The Jaspers came close again, but a blocked attempt in the last seconds of the first half kept the score at 1-0.

In the second half, McMaster had another opportunity, but Jarvis was ready with another save. Molly Brunk, Manhattan’s goalkeeper, showed skills by saving two shots in quick succession midway through the half. Late in the game, just before the 87-minute mark, Addyson Earl scored for Quinnipiac, sealing the Jaspers’ fate.
