Each event will provide pre-boxed and pre-bagged food items. Families can receive one box per household. It’s a drive-through distribution, so please open your trunk for collection.
In the past year, studies have shown that food insecurity has increased among families. According to the U.S. Department of Agriculture, around 1 in 10 American households experienced food scarcity in 2022. Given these trends, the importance of these distributions cannot be overstated.
Local organizations, such as Citizens Concerned for the Homeless and the city governments, work tirelessly to bridge the gap. The funding for these programs often comes from federal support like the Emergency Food Assistance Program, ensuring that these vital resources are available to those most in need.
