Marilyn Manson Exonerated: No Charges Filed After Lengthy Investigation – What This Means for the Controversial Rocker

LOS ANGELES — Prosecutors have decided not to charge Marilyn Manson after a long investigation into accusations of sexual assault and domestic violence. The investigation lasted nearly four years, but District Attorney Nathan Hochman stated that the allegations are too old to pursue legally and that the evidence isn’t strong enough to support charges against the 56-year-old, whose real name is Brian Warner.

Hochman emphasized the challenges in proving sexual assault cases, saying, “We recognize and applaud the courage of the women who came forward.” He noted the importance of their cooperation during the investigation.

Beginning in early 2021, LA County detectives looked into incidents involving Manson that occurred between 2009 and 2011 in West Hollywood, where he lived at the time. This included executing a search warrant at his home. The case was first handed over to prosecutors in September 2021, but the investigation was later paused to gather more evidence.

Among those interviewed was Esmé Bianco, an actress known for her role in “Game of Thrones.” She publicly shared her experiences with Manson, detailing abuse she allegedly faced during their relationship. Bianco stated, “I did what victims of rape are supposed to do: I went to the police,” referring to the detailed report she made almost four years ago. She claimed to have provided substantial evidence to the investigators, including photos and messages that supported her allegations.

In her lawsuit against Manson, Bianco accused him of various forms of abuse and claimed he violated human trafficking laws by misleading her into coming to California for fake roles.

Manson’s attorney previously denied the allegations, labeling them as “provably false.” The musician faced further accusations from others, including his former fiancée, Evan Rachel Wood, who identified him as her abuser in a 2021 social media post. Their relationship began when Wood was only 19, and they were briefly engaged before separating.

Wood has spoken openly about her traumatic experiences, stating that Manson groomed her as a teenager and abused her for years. Manson responded to her claims, calling them distortions of reality. He sued Wood for defamation, but a judge dismissed parts of his case, and he ultimately decided to drop the lawsuit.

Marilyn Manson rose to fame in the mid-1990s, gaining notoriety for his controversial public persona and hit songs like “The Beautiful People.” Despite his musical success, the recent allegations have cast a shadow over his legacy.
