The Rotary Club of Southborough is excited to announce the return of its popular Food Truck Festival. This cherished community event will kick off on May 21 and run through June 11, every Wednesday evening.
From 3:30 PM to 7:00 PM, visitors can enjoy a variety of food trucks at St. Mark’s School field, nestled at the crossroads of Routes 85 and 30. This year, attendees can look forward to four dinner trucks and a specialty ice cream truck. While the exact vendor lineup is still being finalized, the buzz around the food options is already building!
What makes this festival special? It’s free to attend, making it an accessible outing for families and friends. Plus, it also supports fundraising efforts for local charities, giving attendees a chance to enjoy great food while contributing to good causes.
Last year, many families spread picnic blankets across the lawn, creating a relaxed atmosphere perfect for enjoying food together. The festival is not just about the food; it’s a space to gather and celebrate community spirit. A local attendee said, “It’s a great way to unwind in the evening with the kids while enjoying delicious eats.”
Did you know? Food truck culture has been rising in popularity over recent years. According to a 2021 report from IBISWorld, the food truck industry in the U.S. has seen a growth of 6.2% annually, driven by changing dining habits and a desire for diverse culinary experiences. In Southborough, this trend shines through as residents eagerly await different tastes each week.
As for the weather, the festival will continue rain or shine, but it’s good to keep an eye on forecasts just in case storms roll in.
