Mark Your Calendars: Global Food Fest Returns to Tryon for Unmissable 4th Friday Celebration!

Get ready for the second annual Global Food Fest in Tryon on June 27! This event, organized by the Tryon Downtown Development Association, is part of the town’s lively 4th Friday celebrations. From 5 to 7 p.m., attendees can wander downtown and enjoy tasty bites from local culinary experts. Each chef will set up their station in front of local businesses, creating a fun and festive atmosphere.

Lourdes Gutierrez, the TDDA Director, is excited about this year’s turnout. “Last year was a hit, and we’re hoping for even more participants this time,” she shared. Local cooks are invited to showcase their favorite international dishes. Participants should prepare samples for about 50 to 75 guests, and they’re encouraged to add flair by displaying decorations or wearing costumes that reflect their culinary heritage.

One of the highlights of the fest is the opportunity for attendees to vote for their favorite dish. The top three entries will win prizes, such as gift cards, adding a little competitive spirit to the delicious event.

In recent years, food festivals have gained popularity across the U.S. A survey conducted by the National Restaurant Association found that 75% of consumers enjoy visiting these events to explore different cuisines and discover new flavors. The Global Food Fest is a perfect chance for Tryon residents to dive into culinary diversity and support local chefs.
