Marquez Dominates Race with Another Win While Bagnaia Faces Unexpected DNF

Marc Marquez continued his impressive streak, winning the latest MotoGP sprint at the Austrian Grand Prix. Starting from the second row, he managed to outpace Alex Marquez, who finished just over a second behind. Pedro Acosta from Red Bull KTM took third place, marking his third consecutive top-three finish. Meanwhile, Francesco Bagnaia faced a tough day, struggling to find his rhythm.

The sprint started poorly for both Bagnaia and Fermin Aldeguer. They both had a rough launch, spinning their rear tires and losing critical time. In contrast, Alex Marquez quickly seized the lead, with Acosta passing Marco Bezzecchi for second place early in the race. A major setback occurred for reigning champion Jorge Martin, who dropped to 15th place due to a wide turn.

In the opening laps, Alex Marquez successfully held off his brother, Marc, maintaining a slim half-second lead. However, Acosta fell behind after making a mistake and found himself 1.3 seconds behind the Marquez duo, but still comfortably ahead of Bezzecchi in fourth.

With just five laps to go, Marc Marquez made his move. He pulled ahead after a strong exit from Turn 2B, solidifying his lead. Despite his efforts, Alex couldn’t keep up, and Marc extended his advantage to 0.7 seconds, navigating meticulously to avoid any penalties for track limits.

Marc’s remarkable achievement marked his 11th consecutive win, reinforcing his position as the dominant force in this year’s championship. Alex crossed the finish line in second place, closely followed by Acosta, who managed to fend off Bezzecchini for third.

KTM celebrated a solid performance, with Brad Binder finishing in the top five and Aldeguer recovering to sixth after his difficult start. Enea Bastianini, Fabio Di Giannantonio, and Johann Zarco also rounded out the points in the top ten, highlighting a competitive race.
