INDIANAPOLIS (WTHR) – Martin University in Indianapolis is set to pause operations at the end of 2025. The Board of Trustees announced that the decision comes amid financial struggles and declining student enrollment.
Joseph Perkins, the board chairman, emphasized the university’s mission to support first-generation college students. He pointed out the need for more community backing, which is vital for these students striving for better opportunities for themselves and their families.
The university’s former president, Sean Huddleston, worked hard to keep the institution afloat until his departure on November 28, but ultimately, this effort was not enough.
