Maximize Efficiency: Unlocking the Power of State and Local Preparedness Strategies

By the power granted to me as President, I am issuing this order to strengthen America’s infrastructure and improve our national security.

Purpose
Local and state governments can significantly enhance our national security by investing wisely in infrastructure. It’s crucial for federal policies to support these local efforts. Preparedness is best managed at the community level. When states make smart decisions about their infrastructure, it benefits everyone. This order encourages responsible investments and prioritizes making our communities resilient to threats like cyber attacks, natural disasters, and extreme weather events.

Policy
We want states, local governments, and individuals to take a more active role in preparing for challenges. National Resilience Strategy
Within the next 90 days, we will publish a comprehensive National Resilience Strategy. This plan outlines how we will prepare for and respond to various threats, ensuring America is ready for anything. We will review this strategy every four years to adapt to new challenges.

Updating Infrastructure Policies
In the coming months, we will review existing infrastructure and continuity policies. This review aims to shift our focus from a one-size-fits-all to a risk-informed strategy. It’s time to go beyond sharing information and take real action to boost resilience across the nation.

National Risk Register
We will develop a National Risk Register identifying key risks to our national infrastructure.
