“I’ll take my time going through it with my family, my agent, and everyone involved. We’re going through it slowly,” said Connor McDavid, emphasizing the importance of careful consideration in his career decisions.
This season marks McDavid’s 11th with the Edmonton Oilers, the team that selected him first overall in the 2015 NHL Draft. Over these years, he has racked up impressive stats: 1,082 points from 361 goals and 721 assists in 712 regular-season games. In the playoffs, he has added 150 points, with 44 goals and 106 assists in 96 games.
McDavid has an impressive list of accolades: three Hart Trophies as the NHL’s most valuable player, four Ted Lindsay Awards for being the most outstanding player (voted by his peers), and five Art Ross Trophies for leading the league in scoring.
