Meet Daniela Trevino, this month’s spotlight in Real Estate and Property Management (RPM). With 20 years at the UT System, she has been a creative force on campus. As the Assistant Director for Campus Planning, her interior design skills shine through in every project.
Daniela loves collaborating to bring campus spaces to life. Her job includes budgeting, designing, and choosing finishes. Working with her small but talented team brings her joy and satisfaction.
In her role, Daniela manages district planning, a key effort to support all Roadrunner students, faculty, and staff. No two days are alike for her. She meets with various stakeholders—from her team to vendors—while overseeing capital projects like Blanco Hall and San Pedro II. Her coordination is vital to ensure everything runs smoothly.
Working alongside Project Coordinator Phyllis Rosenfield, Daniela meticulously plans every detail. Together, they create functional, beautiful spaces that fit the university’s vision. “It’s amazing to see how different perspectives come together to shape the spaces we create,” she shares. This collaboration is one of the most rewarding parts of her job.
Outside work, Daniela enjoys family time, reading, painting, and even making jewelry. She loves designing furniture and has a passion for fashion. Staying active with hiking is also a favorite pastime. Whenever she can, she heads to the beach to soak up the sun.
Daniela’s creativity and passion for design make UTSA’s campuses inviting places to work and learn. Her efforts enhance the overall student experience, highlighting how important well-designed environments are in education.
