PARKERSBURG — Coplin Health Systems is excited to welcome Dr. Cindy Dugan to its behavioral health team.
Dr. Dugan comes with nearly 30 years of experience in psychiatry. She’s dedicated to providing compassionate care for patients of all ages. Right now, she’s focusing on accepting new pediatric referrals for kids and teens aged 6-17. She’ll treat various psychiatric conditions, including ADHD, autism spectrum disorder, depression, and anxiety.
A native of Huntington, Dr. Dugan earned her medical degree from the West Virginia University School of Medicine and completed her residency in psychiatry at Northeastern Ohio Universities College of Medicine. She also holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Marshall University.
Before joining Coplin, she served as medical director at Westbrook Health Services in Parkersburg and has held similar roles at treatment centers around West Virginia. Her extensive experience makes her a valuable addition to the Coplin team.
With Dr. Dugan onboard, Coplin Health Systems aims to improve access to mental health care in rural communities. She’s also passionate about helping those with substance use disorders, enhancing the services Coplin offers in that area.
According to the National Alliance on Mental Illness, almost 1 in 5 adults in the U.S. experience mental illness, showing just how critical it is to have qualified professionals like Dr. Dugan in the community. Her local knowledge and experience will help strengthen the mental health support available.
