Doss believes her background helps her understand the importance of building strong connections with county agencies and community organizations. “These relationships are key,” she notes.

The Behavioral Health Services Department offers essential support for mental health and substance abuse issues. Doss has just begun her journey but already has big goals. “I want to make it easier for people to access care throughout Madera County,” she shares.

She emphasizes the need to expand resources and support, especially in areas like substance use, crisis management, and housing. Doss highlights the current housing crisis in Oakhurst as a pressing concern.

One initiative she is excited about is the Drug Medical Organized Delivery System. This program aims to enhance substance use treatment options. Doss envisions creating more intensive outpatient treatment programs and improving connections to residential facilities.

Her focus is on removing barriers that prevent individuals from seeking help. Doss is ready to face the challenges of her new position and is committed to serving the community.
