PULASKI, Va. – Pulaski County has named Tim Miller as the first director of its new Office of Sports Tourism and Entertainment.
This new office aims to boost the local sports and tourism scene. Tim Miller brings years of experience in this field and has a strong background in developing sports facilities.
After visiting Pulaski, he immediately noticed the area’s potential. “I’ve built my career on starting new organizations, and this opportunity really attracted me,” he said.
Miller plans to make the most of Pulaski’s venues, from mountain bike parks to Calfee Park, which is one of the oldest baseball stadiums in the U.S. He sees opportunities for hosting youth tournaments, college games, and high school events.
The overarching goal is to create a thriving environment for sports and entertainment while also boosting the local economy. County Administrator Jonathan Sweet highlighted that this growth can lead to new restaurants, hotels, and entertainment businesses.
While Pulaski County has a wealth of outdoor venues, Miller is eager to focus on expanding indoor recreational options as well.
