Richmond, VA – The Bryant University football team celebrated a strong showing with five players earning All-CAA honors this week.
Michael Otty received first-team recognition. This marks his third consecutive season with postseason honors and his first time on the first team. Otty’s stats are impressive: he achieved 41 tackles, 17 tackles for loss, and five sacks. Notably, his 17 tackles for loss led the conference, placing him among the top in Bryant’s history. Otty’s clutch performance included blocking a crucial kick against UAlbany, which helped the Bulldogs secure their first CAA win.
Elijah Elliott stepped up as a key player, finishing the season with 805 rushing yards—ranking fourth in the CAA. He completed the year with 14 total touchdowns, making him a standout offensive player with significant contributions on the field.
Keylijah Williams, honored on the second team for the first time, excelled in kick returns with 722 yards. His 100-yard return for a touchdown against Campbell ties the longest in Bryant’s history, showcasing his speed and agility.
Jon Fagley also received third-team honors. Serving as the center on the offensive line, he played a crucial role in the team averaging over 300 total yards per game for five straight seasons.
Brandon Perkins, in his debut season, made a mark with 85 tackles, including a career-high of 14 against UMass. His performance earned him accolades as the Co-CAA Defensive Player of the Week.
Another key player, Lonnie Rice, earned honorable mention with a career-high of 92 tackles, contributing to the team’s overall defensive strength.
The recognition of these players reflects not just individual talent but also the growing competitiveness of the Bulldogs in the conference. Their achievements indicate a promising future for Bryant football as they build momentum for the next season.
